Barcode, from Pro
The labels arrive already printed.
Barcode tracking usually stalls before it starts, because the first question is hardware: a label printer, the right ribbon, the right stock, and someone in the shop who knows how to drive all three. That is a purchase and a small project before a single tyre gets scanned.
We take that off the table. Tell us what you are holding, and we send pre-printed barcode labels counted against your opening inventory. There is no printer to buy and no stationery to source.
Stick a label on the tyre, scan it once to tie the two together, and the tyre is tracked individually from that moment — through transfers, through the rack it sits on, through to the job card it leaves on. When the labels start running low, you order the next lot from us.
Pro or Advanced
Stock that sits is money that stopped moving.
A tyre is not a box of bolts. Every casing carries the week and year it was made, and a buyer who checks that date has already decided something about the tyre before they look at the tread.
Left alone, a rack sells newest first. Staff reach for what is in front, and what is in front is usually what came in last. The set that arrived eight months ago slides to the back of the godown and stays there — not because anyone chose to hold it, but because nothing in the working day says otherwise. By the time it surfaces, the date on the sidewall is doing the negotiating: it moves at a discount, or it does not move.
That stock was paid for months ago. It is working capital standing still in a business where the same money should have turned over several times — and the longer it stands, the less it is worth.
Pro tells you which tyre it is and which godown it is in. Advanced adds how long it has been there, and sells against it. That is the whole difference between the two plans, and it is the difference between counting your stock and rotating it.
FAQ
Pricing questions
How much does WheelOps cost?
Pricing depends on how many branches and users you run, and whether you need WhatsApp messaging on your own number. We quote for your actual shop after the demo rather than publishing a list price that fits nobody.
Is there a setup or implementation fee?
No. There is no paid implementation: your own team brings your customers, vehicles and stock into WheelOps, which means there is no implementation bill and no waiting on us to schedule it. Training your staff and supporting them afterwards is part of the subscription.
Do I pay per user?
Pricing scales with branches and users, so a single counter costs materially less than a four-branch operation. Tell us the shape of your business and we'll be specific.
What actually separates the Pro and Advanced plans?
Pro gives you barcode inventory: every tyre scanned in and out, across godowns, with a ledger behind every number. Advanced adds the tyre's age to that record — the manufacturing week and year — and sells against it, so stock leaves in an order you decide rather than the order it happens to be stacked in.
We already scan barcodes. Why would we move to Advanced?
A barcode tells you which tyre it is and where it is. It doesn't tell you how long it has been there. Advanced records the manufacturing week and year, drives sales off it with FIFO or LIFO, and reports on what is ageing — which is the difference between counting stock and rotating it.
Do we need to buy a barcode printer?
No. We send pre-printed barcode labels counted against your opening inventory, so there is no printer, ribbon or label stock to buy. You stick a label on a tyre, scan it once to assign it, and order more labels from us when you start running low.
How do I know whether old stock is actually costing us?
Bring it to the demo. We look at what you're holding and how long it has been held, and you can see what a rotation rule would have done to it. If your stock already turns over quickly, Pro is the right plan and we'll say so.
What does WhatsApp messaging cost?
Meta charges per conversation. On the shared WheelOps business number those charges are covered by your subscription within the sending limits we agree; on your own connected number Meta bills your WhatsApp Business account directly. Service-reminder volumes are small either way; we walk through the expected monthly cost during the demo.
Is there a contract or lock-in?
You can export your customers, vehicles and stock to CSV at any time. If you leave, your data leaves with you.
Can I try it before committing?
Yes. The demo runs on real data and there's no card required. For most shops the demo plus a short pilot is enough to decide.
